HYPER-REALITY from Keiichi Matsuda (via Nerddrugs)

Von der Projekt-Seite:

Hyper-Reality (total runtime approx 6 minutes) is a concept film by Keiichi Matsuda. It presents a provocative and kaleidoscopic new vision of the future, where physical and virtual realities have merged, and the city is saturated in media … Our physical and virtual realities are becoming increasingly intertwined. Technologies such as VR, augmented reality, wearables, and the internet of things are pointing to a world where technology will envelop every aspect of our lives. It will be the glue between every interaction and experience, offering amazing possibilities, while also controlling the way we understand the world. Hyper-Reality attempts to explore this exciting but dangerous trajectory. It was crowdfunded, and shot on location in Medellín, Colombia.

Big Brother is Watching You: Mark Zuckerberg beim Mobile World Congress 2016

Beim Mobile World Congress 2016 in Barcelona hat Marc Zuckerberg über die Bedeutung von Virtual Reality für Facebook referiert (FB hat vor einer Weile den VR-Headset-Hersteller Oculus gekauft). Dabei ist dieses denkwürdige Foto entstanden. The Verge hat eine schöne Bildbeschreibung dazu:

The image above looks like concept art for a new dystopian sci-fi film. A billionaire superman with a rictus grin, striding straight past human drones, tethered to machines and blinded to reality by blinking plastic masks. Golden light shines down on the man as he strides past his subjects, cast in gloom, toward a stage where he will accept their adulation. Later that night, he will pore across his vast network and read their praise, heaped upon him in superlatives, as he drives what remains of humanity forward to his singular vision.
